Cy, a University of Kentucky alumnus, won 15 games for the Brooklyn Dodgers with an ERA of 2.88, in 1910. He was
among the league leaders with 25 complete games. His promotion to Brooklyn was based on his all-star caliber pitching
as he led Rochester to the Eastern League title with 23 wins and an incredible 1.00 ERA, in 1909.
