A dangerous hitter who revolutionized first base defensive play, Hal held the Yankees stolen base record until
broken, later that century, by Ricky Henderson. Hal's desire to gamble on baseball games ruined his career that
had Hall of Fame potential. In 1919, Hal was thought to be a key figure in the 'Big Fix' of the infamous World
Series 'Black Sox Scandal'.
