Also known as "Pittsburgh Jack", Pfiester was the star left-hander of the champion Cubs teams. Jack was known as the "Giant Killer" due to his lifetime 15-5 record against John McGraw's team. Prior to his career in baseball, John worked in a wholesale leather house.
